Our Team

Since 1989 each Partner has been adjusting Commercial Lines, Builder’s Risk and Personal Lines claims. Through the decades they have gained unique and valuable experience handling complicated losses resulting from 9/11, the 2003 blackout, Superstorm Sandy and the COVID-19 pandemic.  In addition to their field experience, the partners regularly attend claim conferences and seminars to stay informed of legal, regulatory and policy trends. They also regularly attend workshops and meetings of the Loss Executives Association and are members of that esteemed industry organization.  After recognizing an opportunity to better serve insurers, they founded MSW Adjustment Group in 1995.  Messrs. Stevenson & Walker are graduates of State University of New York at Stony Brook and Gettysburg College, respectively.

Mr. Rems joined MSW as General Adjuster in December 2020.  Prior to joining MSW, Steve was an independent property adjuster in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for five years.  Steve also previously worked for Hanover Insurance Group as a field adjuster.  Steve has extensive experience handling personal, commercial, and public sector claims of all sizes.  Steve is a 2002 graduate of Montclair State University, after which he worked for several years as a restoration contractor.  As a contractor, Steve estimated and oversaw property damage restoration projects of all kinds and sizes.  He is a member of the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) and holds IICRC Certifications in Water Damage Restoration, Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration, Advanced Structural Drying, as well as a certified Mold Remediation Technician with the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA).  He is also certified as a RCS (Building Inspector) with the State of N.J. Bureau of Code Services.
